Our Founder

Dominique Satterfield-Brown embarked on her educational journey in New Jersey, culminating in a B.A. in English from Rutgers University in 2014, and an M.Ed. from Villanova University in 2015. In 2018, she pursued further education at Rowan University, specializing in School Administration. Her extensive teaching experience spans diverse settings, focusing on urban learners and ELA instruction. She currently holds the esteemed position of Professor of Education at Rowan University, where she nurtures the future of education through B.A and M.A. programs.

Prior to her professorship, she dedicated seven years to teaching high school in Camden, NJ. Her commitment extended beyond the classroom. As the Department Chair of English, she organized coat drives, established partnerships with colleges, and coordinated professional development for the ELA department, showcasing her unwavering support for students. Dominique’s dedication lies in transforming students’ lives through English education that fosters critical thinking and advanced reading skills.
